Happy Friday, friends! I can’t believe we’re finishing the first week of August! This week has been a whirlwind — we arrived home early Tuesday morning (think 2am) and the rest of the week passed in a laundry, to-do list, twelve hour shifts blur. I work tomorrow, but am looking forward to spending a relaxing Sunday with my two favorite guys — my husband and puppy 🙂
Every Friday, I share the little things from my week as well as links from around the web that made my everyday extraordinary. This week is a little different — I thought I would share some of my favorite NYC trip moments with y’all. So basically “life lately” without the “links lately.” However, I do plan to share some of my favorite articles from the week over on my Facebook page, so head on over there for some good weekend reads.
In the meantime — New York City was just a magical as promised — and as crowded 😉 But we had a wonderful time visiting family, exploring the city, and eating some of the best food NYC had to offer. Here’s some of my favorite moments — more trip recaps to come!
Life Lately – NYC Style
{A peaceful morning in Central Park}
{Gluten Free Brunch at Friedman’s — all you GF folks, notice the SIGNS marking the plates gluten free!! Whoohoo for knowing you are safe eating somewhere!}
{The prettiest stone leaves on an old building}
{My favorite dinner of the whole trip (and maybe the whole year!) at Senza Gluten }
{The beautiful Grand Central Terminal (side note: why can’t all big cities have subways??! SO nice to explore without driving…especially in NYC — the driving is crazy!!)}
{This gluten free cinnamon donut from Erin McKenna’s Bakery (formally Babycakes) was my healthy 😉 and delicious dinner when our flight home was delayed three hours.}
{Still feel in awe of finally seeing Lady Liberty in person!}

What made your everyday extraordinary this week? I would love to hear in the comments! Have a fantastic weekend!

Thank you Patricia! It is such a fun city, but we were glad to return to our “country” life too 🙂
