What symbolizes summer more than a delicious scoop of ice cream in a sugar cone? There’s nothing quite like ice cream to combat the heat that these months bring. For those of us who are gluten free, ice cream cones don’t usually evoke the same amount of excitement as they once did prior to our diagnosis or lifestyle change. That’s why when I saw Goldbaum’s Gluten Free Sugar Cones on my local grocery’s shelf, I knew I had to give them a try.
I pulled these out to sample on a humid afternoon in North Carolina that was just perfect for some ice cream.
Twelve of these Goldbaum sugar cones were $2.98 at Walmart. My husband and I both tried them — the texture was good and the taste — I think you can still tell a slight difference between these gluten free cones and the regular cones –but overall we both agreed they were worth the price.
These would work especially well to have at a summer party so any children or adults with food allergies could still partake in the favorite dessert of summertime.
The Verdict? Delicious and crunchy, although a mini-cone (you may want two 🙂 ), but overall, a great gluten free option for your next ice cream treat!
