Happy (almost) weekend, friends! I hope this finds you wrapping up a great week and looking forward to two days off! The Chance B&B is back in use this weekend, and we are excited to show some of our Texas friends around our new home and city! This week has been a full one, but below you will find, as always, the things that made my everyday extraordinary this week. I would love to hear about yours in the comments!

Words of Wisdom. I loved this quote from Jennie Allen’s Instagram. So true!!

Sunday Brunch Wins — three pots of hot tea is a successful Sunday brunch in my world — I posted this picture on my Instagram this week.
Dallas the Dog Picture of the Week:
Ignore my post work exhausted face and look at how HUGE Dallas is getting! 17 weeks tomorrow! I also updated his page on the blog so you can see how much he’s grown! Such a cutie 🙂

When I saw the latest buy of America’s favorite couple, I joked to my husband that Chip and Jojo are going to purchase Baylor University next. Can’t wait to get down to Waco sometime soon and see all their hard work come to life!
“And I probably could have used therapy a long time ago, but for some reason it took me until late last year to realize I was taking care of a lot of people and maybe I could take care of them better if I took care of myself a little bit.” ~Loved this post by Kelle Hampton on rewriting the story/stigma of therapy.
“However, I think in most people’s experiences, they would say their church does not take the time to talk about eating, exercise, gluttony, fasting and wellness. I think this could be, in part, due to the fact that so many people in ministry (present company included) struggle with food, eating and weight issues and don’t really want to address the obvious sin struggles in our own lives. We’re open to addressing other sins, but this one comes too close to home for many pastors.” ~Appreciated this perspective by Scott Kedersha on The Most Neglected Struggle in the Church
We are all in need of a laugh today — it’s Friday after all — so please read this hilarious exchange of text messages a man sent to his wife after their toddler vomited in the car.
“It made me realize that even if they’re small things, I want to try to capture a bit of that Saturday magic and sprinkle it throughout the week. I’d like to avoid the tension associated with the upcoming work days and instead embrace them in a new way full of hope and excitement, with even a few relaxing moments woven throughout.” ~Enjoyed Emily’s post over at Cupcakes and Cashmere on How to Make Your Weeks Feel More Like Weekends — my favorite idea is the first one!
Yummy Link of the Week: In case you missed it — I shared my favorite (easy!) gluten free weeknight dinner recipes this week – check those out here. And if you need a little weekend pick-me-up — how about some chocolate milk and coffee?? These Chocolate Milk Iced Mochas look amazing!
